    Tour Itinerary

    Day 01: Ahmedabad: Arrive at AHMEDABAD by train/air, meet & greet & transfer to hotel. Check in to the hotel. In the noon visit of the half-day city tour that includes Sidi Saiyed Mosque, developed by Sidi Saiyed and constructed in 1573, Hathee Singh Jain Temple is typically fine & made of delicately carved white marble; Gandhi Ashram; Adalej Step Well, built by Queen Rudabai, with entrances leading to a huge platform that rests on 16 pillars, etc. Overnight stay Temple, Gandhi Ashram, Adalaj Step Well, etc.

    Ahmedabad.

    Day 02: Ahmedabad: Morning After breakfast, visit Jama Mosque, which was developed by Ahmed Shah, a very good example of an architect. Then later visit the Calico Museum of Textiles, which contains one of the world’s finest collections of antique and modern Indian textiles. An evening visit to the market area & an overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

    Day 03: Dasada: Early morning (0430 AM) drive to Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary; in winter the migratory birds descend on Nalsarovar. Visit various birds like geese, pelicans, flamingos, etc. The best way to see the birds is to take a boat on rent. Then continue driving to Dasada. Check in to Rann Riders & an overnight stay in Dasada.

    Day 4: Dasada: The morning after breakfast, visit the Little Rann of Kutch to see the various types of birds, like flamingos, ducks, and cranes. Also, we can see here Asiatic wild asses and blue bulls. In the evening, again, we can go on a safari of the little Rann of Kutch, or here we can take a village safari to see the experience of the Bharwad and Rabari communities. Evening dinner & overnight stay at Rann Riders.

    Day 5: Gondal: Morning drive to Gondal; check in to Orchard Palace / River Side Palace. In the evening, visit the vintage car collection, having several vintage & classical cars, including a 1910 new engine with so many imposing American cars of the 1940s. Also visit Bhuvneshvary Ayurvedic Library, which makes herbal medicines according to ancient principles. Overnight stay in Gondal.

    Day 6: Sasan Gir: After breakfast, visit Naulakha Palace and SwamiNarayan temple. Naulakha Palace is a festival of stone carvings with balconies. In the afternoon drive to Sasan Gir. Check in to the hotel & overnight stay.

     

    Day 7: Sasan Gir: Morning safari to Gir National Park. Sasan Gir Lion Sanctuary is home to some 300 Asiatic lions. Sasan Gir is the only place in the world outside the African continent where lions can be seen in their natural habitat. Evening safari & overnight stay in Gir.

    Day 8: Diu: After breakfast, drive to Diu. Check in to the hotel. In the evening, visit Diu Fort & beach. The fort has cannons, which reminds one of the struggles between Bahadur Shah, Sultan of Gujarat & Mughal Emperor & the Portuguese. Overnight stay in Diu.

    Day 9: Diu: Taking a breakfast, then a visit of Diu includes St Paul Church, which is founded by Jesuits, and Diu Museum, which is a collection of wooden carvings, idols, shadow clocks & so many other items. In the evening, visit the beaches. Overnight stay in Diu.

     

    Day 10: Departure: Departure Transfer to Diu Airport / Bhavnagar Airport / Ahmedabad Airport
